3 Steps for Better Skin

Skin health is constantly on our mind (It’s on mine!). According to this, there are three simple things to keep in mind for skin health – and its all to do with what we put into our body. My personal favourite is olives, have you ever noticed how amazing Italian Womens’ skin is? Their diets are full of rich mediterranean creations. Apparently, Olives are rich in anti ageing elements that actually prevent wrinkles!

“1.  Ensuring your diet is rich in natural oils is a great way to nourish skin from the inside. Foods such as avocados, eggs, almonds, fish and olives will naturally boost the health of your skin and give it a natural glow from within.

2. Green and Purple. Green veggies are full of anti-inflammatory nutrients and antioxidants to assist in alkalising your gut (which is shown in your skin). Try to have plenty of leafy greens like spinach, cabbage, rocket, kale and pumpkin leaves. Purple veggies (purple carrots and beetroot) assist in the blood flow to the skin and the cell renewal process which will help repair skin and reduce the size of pores.

3. Antioxidants. What are they? Vitamins, minerals, and enzymes (proteins inside your body) that can help to prevent and repair damage to your body’s tissue. Antioxidants do this by slowing or preventing the effect of free radicals, which start oxidation — a process that causes damage from oxygen that can lead to cell dysfunction…”
