Helmut Newton is cited to be one of the most influential and controversial fashion photographers of his time, capturing nudity, women and cigarets in candid photographs with underlying themes of sex, passion and power. He never portrayed women as fragile creatures that was the norm of the times, instead putting them in 6″ heels, jewelled underwear and a mens top hat where they would stand, hands on hips in defiance and beauty. That was the Newton way.
